During the ÖRES residency period, Teemu will be advancing his doctoral research with a special focus on ‘soils to seas’ – the porousness of elements we perceive as separate entities constituting compositional surfaces, or ‘landscapes’. Staying simultaneously at the residency with Isabella Martin, they will continue to exchange their experiences on living and working with the Baltic Sea, from the Belts and Sound to the Archipelago Sea. A dialogue that started in June 2025 with visits to researchers, agencies, and sites on the Danish Baltic coast, and now proceeds on the southern coast of Finland.
